Cinemagraphs

So, before even looking, please know that both of these went nothing like I had planned and with the time limit I was given I couldn't fix them after learning what had to be done.

So, this was the first one and I found out that the game went too fast. I guess people can just think I sped through Mario. Without hitting a button. Yeah, sure, I'll go with that. I used this idea because I only had two ideas to begin with. The orignal idea was followed and all went well except I thought that the first layer would fill in the space on higher layers and it didn't, so I had to merge layers. Otherwise, everything is still except the Mario game, so I guess that counts for something, right?

Next was my picture idea. This one was a pain and it still is a pain. I can't really fix it. I tried everything possible. I probably could take new pictures and get better results since I actually know what I'm doing this time around. As said before, this was one out of two ideas, which is  why it was chosen. I was faced with many technical difficulties for problems. and simply the pictures don't want to do what I want. It worked much better in theory. However, everything behind the picture is still.

Cinemagraph Ideas

So, my first idea is that someone is holding a DS and his or her hands are completely still, but the game is moving like someone is playing it. It wouldn't have to be photographed anywhere in particular for this idea and I'd just need to bring my DS for the prop. I think it would need up to 30-40 photos of the game progressing... I'm not sure. Once on photoshop, I'd just need to erase the hands following the first photo.

My next idea is that someone can hold a drawing and the drawing can move. Like the person in the drawing is walking around or something. I think I'd actually like to see the person who is holding the picture's face as well. For this one, I'm thinking of photographing it with a friend I see in the morning if she is okay with it. That means it would be taken in the Gym Lobby at school or perhaps another place we can meet up that has people that can be behind her. As for props, I'd need to draw out some pictures of a someone moving around for my friend to hold. I'm thinking of up to 20-30 photos. When it's moved to photoshop, I'd have to erase my friend and the backgroundin all pictures following the first.

Sean

This is Sean. He's a dog. I drew him because I felt like it. When Sean has color, he invites all his friends over and has a dog party. Dog parties are very expensive so Sean is a digital dog. Digital dogs have digital parties which are easy to pay for. Also, I'm not allergic to digital dogs. Sean is a great dog.

Flowers

Don't you like flowers? I like flowers. These are some flowers I made. Aren't they nice? Go on, put your face to the screen and smell my flowers. They are so nice. I made them on Illustrator. They are such a beautiful color, arent they? I used gradients to create the color myself. It took forever to make it look just right. I also had to distort the flowers. As in, it wasn't a flower to begin with. It started as a start and then I bloated it to make a flower shape. I had a little trouble moving my flowers around because I would accidently deselect parts of the flower and then only move a part of the flower and then it would become a flowery mess. Ah, just too many flowers...

Book Covers of Death

I chose Gretel from Hansel and Gretel because I thought of this story first when the project was assigned. Also, I like drawing anime children simply beacuse they are so cute... Usually. I don't really like how the last one came out, I like her clothes just not her face. I'd say I did pretty well making the book cover seem woods-like and the second one also portrays the candy house that belongs to the witch in this story. My covers reflect the setting the most I guess. The font I chose is easy for a child to read as well as makes the story seem fairy tale-like to me.
