Photo Retouching Tutorial

So this girl looks kind of like a magazine cover girl.... but she isn't. I had to make her look this way and it's kind of disturbing. My final piece looks a lot paler than everyone elses, but I think it looks nice so I guess that is all that matters.

Stop-motion Animation

This is my group's stop-motion animation. We made a walk cycle for Link who shot the out of control arrow. I was really depressed that the music we put in the video could not be posted on the blog since the video with the music was too much for the blog to handle posting. Otherwise, this was a really fun project and with more time, it probably could have came out better.

Walk Cycle

This is a four frame walk cycle with my character, Ray. Isn't she cute?
I had to use tracing paper to make all the frames and I really enjoyed it. I would really like to do something like this again.

Newimal

This is the rare Pengcat in it's natural habitat. It really likes to eat fish. Defining features include how it's cat head slowly turns into feathers as you observe the neck and how the black feathers of it's back trail up the back of it's head. I put tons of effort into creating this crossbreed of my two favorite animals. Now, I only hope my creation will not give nightmares to small children.

Frame Yourself

All of my friends can tell you that I like anime and manga. That's why all those characters are coming out of my frame. I think it would probably have looked better if I did something real and not a a cartoon coming out of the frame instead, but I couldn't think of anything else! Either way, I still think the shadows look pretty cool and I had to redo the shading on some of the characters and I think that, that came out pretty well at least. Should I ever try this project out again, I think I would definitely try to use a real object coming out of the frame instead.

Gradient Practice

So, this was practice with gradients on Photoshop. I made a planet, a button, a pipe, and a speaker. I like how the button came out the most and I would have put more effort into the other three if I didn't have a project to finish up. I probably would have tried to make the planet look more 3D and the pipe darker along the sides and I'm not sure what I'd do for the speaker. Either way, I have some projects to be finished.

Cherry Shine

After several hours of polishing a table, I still couldn't figure it out. So, I made a shiny photoshop table instead. With some cherries on it. I like cherries. Cherries are good. So is cherry soda. Anyways, this tutorial showed me many features on Photoshop. Mostly the gradient tool. It was how I made the reflection of the cherries. Another thing I had to do was transform the cherries' positions. They had to be turned so one wouldn't look like it was floating in midair. I think it came out pretty good and I don't really have anything I can say negative about this one.

Colorized Dancer

Using the many features of Photoshop, I created this. It's a dancer that has the colors of the rainbow at his disposal.Well, either way, I like how it came out. The blur effect helped blend the colors and it looks pretty nice. I think if I should do this again, I would use a different picture to colorize and different colors.

Splat Seal

So this was created while I traveled to land of seals and decided to paint one. After many issues involving froven paint and a seal that wouldn't keep still, Photoshop became my only answer. To create this, I had to use the warp tool. It was hard to figure out at first, but some trial and error helped me succeed. I really wish that the paint looked more like it was on the seal, but this was the best I could get with my skills right now.
